My Little Cowgirl

My daughter has inherted my love for horses. We take her to a horse rescue down the road for lessons with a gentle pony named Zoe. She has bonded and taken to Zoe as a mother to a child. She talks with Zoe and tells her how she missed her and how she is such a good horse. The first half of her lessons consists of brushing the horse and cleaning her hoofs. Johanna now knows the different names of horse brushs and hoof picks and the horse body part names. Then she gets on the horse to ride (English style). This is the part that makes me so nervous. I pray each time she gets on for her protection. She loves it and loves to do the challenging stuff like taking Zoe over the "jump" although it is all the way on the ground. I will always have a love for horses and love the memories I have growing up. I am glad my daughter has that love of horses too.
